The coyotes are howling, the sky is pitch black and the temperature is just above freezing. I would love to go for a walk right now, but can't. I've got to finish packing. It's nice and cozy in the RV. We had the heater running all day at low, to avoid any liquids from freezing. According to my brother Fred, the solution for preventing anything from freezing is to mix it with Vodka. Well, Fred there are certain things that just don't mix with alcohol: Shampoo and Cola? Maybe, but body lotion, canned beans and such I don't think.
All clothes has been moved into the RV and boxes and boxes of supplies are packed away. Every cupboard is filled. The fridge has been turned on and the freezer is stocked as well. Looking at all the supplies it seems like we are going to the moon. I'm sure everything is available wherever we travel, but just in case.
This morning Ramiro had a little set back. As he attempted to drive the car onto the dolly, the lock broke. He took the dolly off the RV again and towed it behind his Van back to town to get it welded. A couple of hundred dollar and many hours later the dolly was back on the RV and the car back in place. He is laying the last hand on the wiring and would rather sit down after such a busy day. It's nerve wrecking; We've never prepared for such a long trip. We just want to go. If we stay any longer, I am afraid I may bring in another box of supplies. I've got to stop right now and go to bed! Tomorrow is the big day. Snow is in the forecast!!!! How will the roads be?
