If we sleep in long enough and take our time, we'll hit Seattle in between rush hours.
Little did we know that it is rush hour all day long in Seattle. It took us a while, but boy, did we ever ease our way through that city on the Interstate.
We love Seattle and have spend many wonderful days there, but you must know your way around or else it becomes a nightmare.
Our next stop is Centralia. One of my favorite places...... Outlet Boulevard. Lots of shops. First we try to find a truck wash and after being directed to one we discover that the water lines are frozen. Let's go shopping then instead. Gee, shopping is no fun when it is so cold.
Oh, I'm not complaing about the weather at all. The weather is great: a beautiful blue sky, hardly any wind, but soooooo cold and the humidity does not help. At least we're sitting warm inside the RV without our jackets for the first time.
We try to find a hot spot for Internet and when I turn on my computer, I Discover it is dead again. A short in the battery it seems. It will only work on 110 power. What's going on here? There is hot water coming out of the toilet, freezing water out of the tap, I dropped my camera and the LCD screen is cracked and now that darn computer.
Let's just keep going, before I get depressed.

We're now 5 days into our trip have traveled 1700 kilometers, used up $ 500.00 worth of Diesel and need one more fill before we continue to Portland. Another busy city. We hit it right at rush hour. It's a maze of roads, but here too we know our way around. We have made many trips to Portland, this is were our daughter Marcela, husband Kai and Bella live. They're not expecting us yet, but we can't spend another night in the RV with this cold weather and no running water. and cannot do the thing we planned on doing today.
We call and announce our arrival and decide to park right in front of the house after we have removed the car and trailer.
We learn that after the snow here, schools have been closed for two days and will be closed tomorrow as well. You;ve got to be kidding....... These people are not used to snow?????
After dinner Ramiro and I go for a brisk walk. Yes, it is very icy. Now I know why the school are closed.
Finally I have a chance to go on line and update the blog and crawl into a warm bed. looking forward to a REAL shower in the morning.
