A wet computer is a dead computer

Wednesday, February 18

It’s taking way too long to work on the computer at the new outdoor cybercafe by the RV. I need to find a place where working the web does not take forever.
My new routine calls for a maximum of two hours on internet to update the blog and download the pictures, read and answer e-mails. I want to start at 9 am but the office is not open until 10 am. I need to find a place, preferable with a power outlet.
A walk around with my computer to find a hot spot, and then towards the building, next to the beautiful green ball field I find the perfect spot. There are some concrete picnic tables and chairs where I settle. After half an hour I need to walk back to the RV and decide to leave my computer on the chair. Everything is safe here. We even leave the RV door open during the day when we are in the pool or go for a walk.

When I return to my new cyber cafe, I find the sprinklers going full blast, reaching as far as the picnic tables and the chairs where I located my new Cyber Cafe. The computer is soaking wet..........................................
My life is over. Everything I do is on this computer. My entire life is in that little box. No banking information, no Rotary assignments, no Project Amigo brochure, no e-mail addresses, and most of all, no more blogs.

I can see your face as you read this. “Oh my world” , you say. “This is a disaster................”.
Well, I need to confess, I made it all up, it is not true at all. I was just looking for an excuse not to do a daily blog. It’s just taking up too much time having to drag the computer with me to get a connection, and my other work is suffering.
For Pete’s sake I am suppose to be relaxing and enjoying life these two weeks her in Roca Azul..
It’s going to be stressful enough when we have to drive back.
I need to plan the entire trip yet and have decided to go on Google earth to take a look at the roads we plan on taking and the RV parks that are listed.

So this is the deal: With us staying here for at least another week, I don’t think there will be many exciting thing to write about. I know you all want the juicy stuff. But if we do anything interesting or have pictures worth posting, you will see a new blog. How’s that for a deal?
