Hope to see you soon again Mom

Sunday, February 15

Four weeks have gone by quickly. What a month it has been, with so much variety. But today we are driving Mom back to the Guadalajara airport.
She spend the morning packing the last few things, but leaves her bathing suit out a bit longer. It is too nice outside to sit in her travel clothes. We make it a quiet morning and at 11:00 am Mom decides to change clothes. The drive to the Guadalajara Airport is an easy one because it is south of the big city. It take us about one hour and 15 minutes. It takes 40 minutes from Roca Azul to Chapala but from Chapala to the airport is barely 20 minutes. That’s becasue on the main road there are no speedbumps and those can slow you down quite a bit.
Before Mom checks in, her luggage needs to be opened and she makes a joke about drugs. “If you do that in Canada, you end up in jail Mom. Be careful what you say”. I explain. The suitcases are checked in and a wheelchair is requested. If they only knew how she joined us on horseback and climbing those steep slopes in Cofradia.
We go the restaurant for lunch and a glass of wine and spend as much time as possible with Mom, until she has to go throught the gate. “See you in June, maybe”.
We make our way back to Ajijic and stop at Wallmart for some supplies and groceries. The selection at this Wallmart is very limited.
Back at the RV, we chat over a glass of wine and I keep busy by cleaning the bathroom, vacuum and wash the floor. It’ll be quiet without Mom, but at the same time we look forward to spending some time together.

I am four days behind on my blog and e-mails and need to figure out a way to catch up. We drive the car close to the office so we can have a connection. But it is going too slow. I will need to look into purchasing some kind of booster to strenghten the signal so we can do all our internet and web work straight from the RV. That would save us a lot of time.
