Our last day on the road

(No pictures today)

Time to go home again. Whatever is left in the cool box is spread out on the bed and that is breakfast. Raymond, the owner, who lives in the Posada, makes cappuccino for 60 Pesos.
Our drive back is much faster as the majority of the 500 k is on the Autopista.
With guidance from Joe we manage to avoid a good portion of Guadalajara except for the most south eastern corner. We drive along the airport and turn west to catch up with the Autopista. Ramiro is getting pretty comfortable on the roads here and is starting to drive like most Mexicans do, passing the big trucks and taking the turns with ease. We stop at a Pemex here and there for a stretch, bathroom break or a snack or drink.
we reach Guzman well before 2 pm. A good time to stop for a chicken lunch and pick up some groceries. It is getting warmer and warmer, and we look forward to spend some time in the sun again.
You did it again Ramiro, you drove us safely for a good 1000 km and we still have time to go for a walk and relax before it gets dark.
Joe and Ramiro leave as soon as we’re home. They have to buy paint for the house that will be painted next week, when a new group of volunteers arrive.
I stay home with Mama and download the pictures, ut the groceries away and relax for the evening.
